This year in the UWESub team I have taken on a higher roll, heading the software side of the project. With the previous years success with ROS we will continue to build upon the platform we have created, with hopes to slightly improve upon the hardware along with setting up more advanced software such as SLAM (which will be my main focus after maintaining the code base) and believe to this will be us success. During the final year of my Robotics BSc I decided to join the SAUC-E group at UWE, with my main roll to create a new working sonar driver for the underwater robot along with other software and hardware jobs that came about. Robotics BSc Final Year Project – Pedestrian Detection

For my final year project in my Robotics BSc I chose to create a pedestrian detection system using a single camera, the idea would be that this camera could be implemented on the rear end of a vehicle and double as a reversing camera.
