Reboot worked for me. It hadn’t given me problems for a while, but this is the second time a simple reboot worked. Ubuntu 11.10. No big deal.

Hi, i have been prette good damned annoyied by my sound card because when i play spotify music and i wanna liste to iTunes or YouTube it fucking dont work. How do i make the soundcard not getting taken over my just ONE SINGLE Program ??!?! Please help me. On my old xp pc this worked flowless despite its quite slow :P So yeah .. Please tell me if somenone knows out there. ¨

I was having the same problem. Try changing the the configure settings for Wine. Select the Audio tab and make sure only OSS Driver is checked in the driver list. In the frame DirectSound below, make sure Hardware Acceleration is Emulation and Default Sample Rate is 44100 and Default Bits Per Sample is 16.
